Description:
Our client, an innovative leader in ordinance and tactical systems is looking for you, an experienced Project Systems Engineer, to join their team at their corporate offices located in the heart of the wine country, Sonoma County, Northern California. Working with limited supervision from the Engineering and Program Managers, this position will provide technical planning and leadership of various programs from concept to final test.

Note: All applicants must possess experience with the following as a condition for consideration:
* Statistical Process Controls/Methods
* Modeling of servo systems
* Understanding of small dc motors
* Previous work on aerospace defense/military systems

Requirements
* BS degree plus 7-10 years experience, 5 years experience in project leadership.
* System level understanding of projects, from requirements to product test
* Experience with electromechanical actuators in the aerospace-defense industry
* Strong communication, leadership, and team building skills
* Resourceful and collaborative, individual Initiative and sound judgment

Major Position Responsibilities
* Scope technical effort across all disciplines
* Provide schedule input to PM, including generating and maintaining engineering project schedules
* Provide cost estimates to PM, including estimating and tracking engineering costs
* Identify staffing requirements and direct the work of others
* Resolve technical issues

Other Responsibilities
* Coordinate technical reviews as needed to ensure collaboration and compliance
* Perform Project Risk Management and develop mitigation plans as needed
* Creating derived technical requirements and statements of work
* Creating design verification plans and specification compliance matrices
* Writing technical reports and proposals
* Root cause and corrective action of technical problems

Desired Skills
* Systems Engineering degree or equivalent
* System modeling, Test Planning, Requirements Analysis
* Technical presentations to customers.
