| Note: All applicants must possess experience with the following as a condition for consideration: * Modeling of servo systems * Understanding of small dc motors * Previous work on aerospace defense/military systems Our client, an innovative leader in ordinance and tactical systems is looking for you, an experienced Project Systems Engineering Manager, to join their team at their corporate offices located in the heart of wine country, Sonoma County, Northern California. This customer interfacing position is responsible for providing the technical planning and leadership from concept to final test for a team of engineers on multiple electro-mechanical actuator system projects/programs. Key Responsibilities Lead the systems and test engineering group responsible for system requirements compliance, modeling and analysis of servo actuator systems, creation of test plans, and analysis of test data, including preparation and presentation of design review material to customers and peers. Work with other engineering groups to derive and allocate subsystem requirements. Support initial design studies with simplified models and presentation quality graphs and plots. Work closely with customers on understanding and refining system requirements flowed to us, delivery of system models for inclusion in higher level models, and development and maintenance of strong working relationships. Maintain configuration control of system models. Determine test methodologies and create test descriptions. Coordinate the comparison of simulation results with test data to determine sources of error and modifying the models accordingly. Coordinate collection of data to support system model anchoring and understanding of performance margins using statistical techniques. Work with program management to establish of schedules and budgets for detailed tasks. Primary Responsibilities • Expert understanding of control theory • Knowledge of simulation tools such as MatLab and dSpace • Proficient in modeling and analysis of system dynamics • Technical writing of reports and proposals • Leadership and team building Minimum Requirements and Skills • BS degree (Masters preferred) plus 15 years minimum experience in systems engineering • 3 years minimum experience managing others • Modeling of servo systems • Understanding of small dc motors • Previous work on aerospace defense/military systems The following experience is a plus: • Systems Engineering degree or equivalent • System modeling, Test Planning, Requirements Analysis • System modeling and simulation, management skills • Ability to model servo systems with Matlab Simulink Hours and Compensation: • Full Time – flexible work schedules • Market competitive compensation • Excellent benefits include paid Health, Vision and Dental Coverage, Vacation and Holidays, 401(k), Bonus Program and Stock Options (for qualified employees).
